An unidentified man was killed after he fell onto the MBTA Red Line tracks at Central Square station in Cambridge shortly after midnight on Oct. 27, 2026. The incident occurred at about 12:50 a.m., and the man was struck by an oncoming train.
MBTA Transit Police responded to the scene and are investigating the accident. Police indicated there was no foul play and noted that the man may have been sleeping and appeared unsteady before he fell.
