Chicago Anti-Cruelty took in 33 dogs on Oct. 23, 2026 after a rescue effort that saved roughly 76 animals from a condemned house in Lemont, Illinois. The home was condemned after officials found it in filthy, hoarder‑like conditions.

The organization was called to provide care for the dozens of dogs removed from the property once authorities discovered the unsanitary environment.
