The Chicago REAL ID Supercenter will end its operations in December 2026.
Since opening, the center has assisted more than 175,000 residents in obtaining REAL IDs.
Officials state that the time has come to wrap up the facility after helping thousands secure the identification.
The Supercenter was created to streamline the REAL ID application process for Illinois residents.
