The City Colleges of Chicago Teachers and Faculty Union is urging its members to prepare for a strike set for Monday, October 19, 2026, after contract negotiations did not result in a new agreement.
An overwhelming vote this week reaffirmed the decision to strike, echoing a vote taken four years ago that led to a contract settlement at that time.
The union and the college system have yet to reach a new contract.
