On October 31, an Upside Down Parade transformed Halloween attendees into participants as costumed families and performers marched down Russell Drive in Washington Park on Chicago's South Side.
The event featured dance teams, musicians, acrobats and sports mascots, while stations along the route offered candy, school supplies, photo opportunities and painting activities.
Designed as a Halloween‑themed parade that reverses the usual format, the celebration invited Chicagoans to walk as the parade itself, blending entertainment with community resource stations.
