Carlos Rivas Jr., a candidate seeking re‑election to the Chicago school board, was suspended from his role at the Noble Network of Charter Schools in September 2018 after an investigation determined he was intoxicated at a work event and behaved inappropriately with a colleague.
The suspension was disclosed in a letter obtained by the Chicago Sun‑Times. Rivas remains in a tightly contested race for a board seat.
