On October 17 at about 11:30 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was shot in the lower back while standing outside in the 7900 block of South Jeffery Boulevard in Chicago’s South Chicago neighborhood. Police responded to the incident and are investigating, but have not announced any arrests.
The teenager was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center for medical care.
