On Oct. 1, 2026, Harris County deputies located an alleged murder suspect in north Harris County, Texas. The suspect died from a self‑inflicted gunshot wound before deputies arrived at the scene.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office, under Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, had been conducting the search when the suspect was found. The fatal wound occurred prior to law‑enforcement contact.
