Fort Bend County's Tax Assessor-Collector's office has shortened its Wednesday afternoon hours, leaving the building locked and a security guard stationed at the entrance.
The adjustment was made abruptly; the office had previously been open on Wednesday afternoons, and residents arriving later in the day discovered the doors barred.
