Four middle schools in Houston have been placed among Texas' ten best middle schools in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings, and one of those schools earned the No. 1 position in the state.
The 2026 ranking, compiled annually by U.S. News & World Report, identified ten top middle schools across Texas. Houston's four schools account for four of those ten spots.
The results illustrate a strong presence of Houston schools within the statewide top‑ten list.
