On November 1, 2026, four volunteers completed a twelve‑month isolation simulation inside a 3D‑printed habitat built to mimic conditions on Mars in Houston, Texas.

The habitat, fabricated using additive manufacturing, was created to replicate Martian living environments as part of a research program on long‑duration space isolation. The experiment was conducted to gather data that will support future human missions to Mars.

Data collected from the year‑long simulation will be used to inform planning for upcoming missions to the Red Planet.
