On October 17, the Houston Fire Department gathered at the Houston Firefighters' Memorial Garden for its annual tribute ceremony. The event honored 85 firefighters who lost their lives while on duty, with families, fellow firefighters and friends of the deceased in attendance.
The ceremony is part of a yearly tradition at the memorial garden, designed to recognize the service and sacrifice of those killed while serving the community.
