The new Houston hockey franchise will not host its opening home games this weekend because the arena slated for the matches has not received a certificate of occupancy.
The games originally set for October 2 and 3 have been postponed, leaving fans without a venue while the occupancy approval is pending.
The delay comes as the expansion team had planned to start its inaugural home schedule this weekend, but the facility remains unapproved for use.
