Plum Organics has agreed to put in place new safety standards that restrict toxic heavy metals in its baby‑food products sold in Texas. The move comes as a result of an investigation by the Texas Attorney General's Office into heavy‑metal contamination.
State officials have been examining baby‑food manufacturers for unsafe levels of lead, arsenic and other heavy metals.
