Sixteen individuals alleged to be members or associates of Houston's YNS gang were indicted on federal charges on Oct. 13, 2026. The Department of Justice says each faces the possibility of life imprisonment for alleged drug trafficking, illegal firearms possession, and planned robberies.
Federal prosecutors allege the suspects took part in distributing drugs, illegally holding firearms, and plotting robberies. The YNS gang is identified as a violent street organization that has been the focus of a federal crackdown on organized crime in the city.
