Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials reported that oyster reefs in several Texas bays are showing resilience as the upcoming harvest season approaches.
Oyster growers said that current environmental conditions are favorable for a successful harvest.
The reefs in Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay and Aransas Bay provide habitat for marine life and support the state's commercial oyster industry.
