Caltrans will shut down a segment of Agoura Road between Rondell Street and Hydepark Drive in Agoura Hills on two separate days to facilitate construction at the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing site. The closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026, and again on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
During the specified hours, crews will perform bridge work and pour a concrete deck that form part of the wildlife crossing structure. The work requires an unobstructed roadway to allow equipment and materials to be positioned safely and efficiently.
The temporary closures support the broader Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing project, which is intended to create a safe passage for animals that need to cross the freeway. By providing a dedicated overpass, the project aims to reduce wildlife-vehicle collisions and promote ecological connectivity across the corridor.
Both closures are limited to the eight-hour windows on the two dates, after which the road will reopen to normal traffic.
