The Amber Alert that was issued after a carjacking led to the kidnapping of a 3‑year‑old girl was cancelled on Oct. 4, 2026, after the child was located unharmed in South Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol announced the child's safe recovery and indicated that the alert was no longer required.
The alert had been activated in response to the kidnapping incident that occurred earlier in the area.
