Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman announced a push to eradicate the drug market that has long operated in MacArthur Park, aiming to have the area cleared before the 2028 Summer Olympics.
The park has continued to host a persistent drug trade despite months of enforcement activity, prompting the district attorney’s office to accelerate its efforts.
The initiative is intended to address the ongoing problem in the park ahead of the international event scheduled for 2028.
