The Los Angeles Department of Transportation announced that beginning Monday, Oct. 31, 2026, it will send warning notices by mail to owners of vehicles photographed by DASH‑bus cameras parked illegally in bus lanes or at bus stops.

The notices provide a 60‑day warning period; citations will be issued after that interval, with penalties taking effect on Jan. 2, 2027. The enforcement system uses two forward‑facing cameras mounted on DASH buses to capture the violations.

The automated program is designed to improve compliance with parking restrictions in bus lanes and at bus stops.
