The city of Los Angeles has enacted a rule that bars stores selling cannabis or tobacco products from also selling nitrous oxide, and it imposes criminal penalties for anyone who violates the restriction.
Nitrous oxide, a gas sometimes used recreationally, had previously been available for purchase at certain cannabis and tobacco retailers within the city. The new regulation removes that option and makes the combined sale unlawful.
