Speed cameras positioned along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu will begin a new enforcement method in November 2026. Drivers who exceed the posted speed limit by 11 miles per hour or more will receive a warning that remains in effect for 60 days before any fine is applied.

The change replaces the prior system, which imposed immediate fines for violations, with a warning‑first approach that gives drivers notice prior to penalties.
