Six Flags announced on September 29, 2026 that the X2 roller coaster at its Magic Mountain park in Valencia, California will be closed permanently. The closure follows rider injury reports and multiple lawsuits alleging severe brain injuries and a death.
The X2 ride, marketed as a daredevil attraction, had been temporarily shut down in July after the injury reports before the decision to end its operation was made.
