Ten Los Angeles County residents were taken into custody by the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, working with the Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force, in connection with a string of catalytic converter thefts in Ventura County. The arrests were announced on September 30, 2026.
The detentions conclude a months‑long investigation known as “Operation Cut and Run,” which focused on catalytic converter thefts reported across several Ventura County cities between April and August 2026.
