Airboat Collision in Everglades Kills One Operator
A collision between two airboats in the Everglades on Oct. 2 resulted in one fatality, prompting an investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

On Oct. 2, about 6:20 p.m., two airboats collided in the Francis S. Taylor Management Area of the Everglades, killing one operator.
Five people were aboard the vessels. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the incident.
