A flight attendant employed by American Airlines was taken into custody by the Miami-Dade Police Department at Miami International Airport on Oct. 27, 2026. Authorities allege the employee used airline travel benefits to defraud a 75‑year‑old woman of $25,000.
Investigators said the attendant exploited her airline privileges to lure the senior citizen and obtain the money. The arrest follows a police inquiry into the alleged misuse of employee travel privileges.
