At about 4:13 a.m. on Monday, a speeding BMW that fled a traffic stop on the Palmetto Expressway near 47th Avenue in Miami Lakes was chased by Florida Highway Patrol troopers. The vehicle left State Road 826 and collided, sending three occupants to the hospital.
Troopers reported that the driver tried to avoid the stop, leading to the pursuit. After the crash, emergency crews moved the three people inside the BMW to medical care.
