A previously missing radio transmission from a Miami Springs police officer who was killed in 1991 has been recovered this year, allowing his daughters to hear his voice for the first time.
The officer’s final dispatch disappeared after the 1991 shooting and remained unfound for nearly 35 years. In 2026 the recording was located and played for his daughters, giving them a rare chance to hear the slain officer’s last words.
