The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory for minor flooding in low‑lying and poorly drained areas of Broward County and parts of Miami‑Dade County on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026, effective until 2:30 p.m.

So far, 1–2 inches of rain have fallen, and forecasters anticipate an additional 1–2 inches before the advisory ends. The heavy rain is causing water to accumulate in vulnerable locations.

The advisory follows standard protocol when rainfall threatens to produce minor flooding in areas with poor drainage.
