A 66-year-old man in Minneola, Florida, is recovering after a robotic operation conducted by a doctor who was located miles away.
The procedure, performed on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, was intended to demonstrate that surgeons can operate on patients from separate locations and represents a pioneering use of remote robotic surgery in the state.
