Hialeah Police Department arrested a 42-year-old woman on Oct. 2, 2026 after surveillance video captured her repeatedly striking and forcefully handling a small dog she was fostering.

The dog had been placed in her home through a local foster program, and the recorded footage showed repeated striking and rough handling, leading to the woman's arrest.
