On Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, the Miami Police Department detained an unidentified male suspect linked to a kidnapping that began in a North Miami apartment complex and ended with the victim’s death.

Investigators say the suspects pretended to be police officers to facilitate the abduction. The case remains under investigation.
