A man was killed on October 8, 2026 when his truck crashed through a barrier and fell into a canal near the emergency department of Broward Health in Sunrise, Florida.
The vehicle struck a wall on the west side of the freestanding emergency‑room complex at West Oakland Park Boulevard and Northwest 94th Avenue before entering the water. Sunrise Fire Rescue responded to the scene.
Authorities confirmed the incident resulted in a single fatality.
