On October 8, 2026, an unidentified man died when his truck broke through a wall and plunged into a canal near the intersection of West Oakland Park Boulevard and Northwest 94th Avenue, beside the freestanding emergency room of Broward Health.
Sunrise Fire Rescue arrived at the scene, recovered the vehicle and confirmed the fatality. The incident resulted in one death and occurred along the canal that runs adjacent to the Broward Health emergency department in Sunrise, Florida.
