On October 8, 2026, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, Miami Fire Rescue, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and a helicopter identified as Chopper 6 began a waterway search after receiving a call that a person was missing from a personal watercraft near the Rickenbacker Causeway.
The joint effort found no missing individual, and authorities concluded that the initial report was unfounded.
