Two airboats collided in the Francis S. Taylor Management Area of the Everglades on October 2, 2026, at about 6:20 p.m., killing one person. Five occupants were on the two vessels at the time of the crash.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reported the incident. The management area is a wetland region where airboats are commonly used for tours and transportation.
