Three health workers in Nairobi tested positive for Ebola after treating the country's first confirmed patient, raising the total number of confirmed cases in Kenya to seven.
The infections were acquired while the workers were providing care for the first confirmed Ebola patient, a case identified earlier this year. Since then, the Kenya Health Ministry has maintained heightened surveillance and response measures.
