On Wednesday night, Oct. 14, 2026, two women aged 34 and 35 were arrested by Broward County Police after allegedly using foil‑lined booster bags to steal costumes and other merchandise from a Spirit Halloween store in Davie, Florida.
Police say the anti‑shoplifting devices were employed to conceal the items, leading to each suspect facing more than 24 charges that include theft and possession of a device.
The stolen merchandise was valued at hundreds of dollars.
