University of South Florida students launched a wound‑healing hydrogel experiment to the International Space Station on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026, using SpaceX's Mission 21.
The experiment will examine how the hydrogel supports wound healing in the microgravity environment of the station.
This work is part of an ongoing collaboration between the university and NASA to evaluate medical materials in space.
