The Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM) announced that it is proceeding with a new metropolitan model designed to consolidate and better coordinate adapted‑transport services throughout Greater Montreal. The initiative involves public transit agencies operating under the OPTC and is intended to improve coordination of accessible transportation across multiple operators.
The regional transport authority is launching the plan even though the Association lavalloise pour le transport adapté (ALTA), the local adapted‑transport association, has expressed reservations about the approach.
