BC Highway Patrol announced that a suspect believed to be involved in a fatal hit‑and‑run in Oliver, British Columbia, in June 2025 was taken into custody in Drummondville, Quebec, on Oct. 29, 2026.

The Oliver incident had remained unsolved for more than a year before the recent apprehension.
