The coroner concluded that one of the two elderly women who died during the major power outage in January 2026 succumbed to cold exposure. The deaths occurred in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce–Côte-Saint-Luc neighbourhood of Montreal, Quebec, and the report also referenced Marie-Claude Boutin.
