On October 7, a fire broke out in a mixed‑use building in Montreal's Park Extension neighbourhood, forcing roughly 30 people to leave the premises and causing injuries to three individuals.

The blaze affected a commercial space on the first floor and residential units on the second floor. Firefighters, under the direction of William Murray of the Montreal Fire Department, worked to extinguish the flames and evacuate occupants.

The incident left the affected residents displaced while the extent of damage is being evaluated.
