A former Montreal police officer neutralised hundreds of bombs that had been planted by the Front de libération du Québec during the 1960s and 1970s.

The disarmament work took place in Montreal, Quebec, more than half a century ago as police sought to locate and render safe the devices that were part of the FLQ’s terrorist campaign.

By neutralising these explosives, the officer helped to remove the immediate threat posed by the bombs during a period of widespread bombings across the province.
