Guy Cormier of the Liberal Party of Canada has announced his intention to run as the Liberal candidate in a Montreal riding, with the federal byelection slated for December 7, 2026.

The byelection will be held across six constituencies nationwide after vacancies arose, with voting scheduled for the same December 7 date.
