The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable announced that Highway 25 and the Louis‑Hippolyte‑La Fontaine tunnel will be closed toward the South Shore from October 9 to October 13, 2026, with traffic redirected via the Champlain Bridge.
A detour will be in place from October 9 through October 11, 2026, as part of scheduled maintenance for the Thanksgiving long weekend.
The closure is part of the ministry’s planned maintenance program for the holiday period.
