The Administrative Labour Tribunal in Montreal dismissed two interference complaints filed by local chapters of the Canadian Union of Public Employees against Hydro-Québec. The complaints alleged that the utility’s removal of union flags displayed on its property fences interfered with union activities.
Hydro-Québec had previously displayed the flags on its fences, prompting the two CUPE local chapters to lodge the complaints. The tribunal’s decision clears the company of the alleged interference.
