A 24-year-old man was seriously injured by a sharp object in an attempted murder at around 3 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026, on De la Montagne Street near Sainte‑Catherine Street West in downtown Montreal. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after the attack. The unidentified suspects fled the area before police could arrive.
The Montreal police (SPVM) confirmed the incident, and spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron said investigators are working to identify those responsible.
