On September 28, 2026, the mayor of Montreal and the mayor of the borough of Pierrefonds cut the ribbon on a new indoor aquatic centre in the West Island of Montreal, Quebec. The $70 million facility is slated to be fully operational in 2027.

The centre, years in planning, was opened to residents during the ceremony.
