On October 14, 2026, the Société de transport de Montréal celebrated the Montreal Metro’s 60th anniversary with a day of events and the unveiling of a collective art installation at Berri‑UQAM station. The display features roughly 1,000 shared memories contributed by Metro employees and passengers.
The installation is part of a broader series of activities organized to commemorate six decades since the network began operating in 1966, the year the Metro opened under the management of the STM.
